Serving as one of NRPA’s CAPRA volunteers is the perfect opportunity for your members to continue their professional development within parks and recreation. CAPRA volunteers are given the opportunity to review, visit and mentor agencies and solidify personal recognition of the defined standards of excellence that accredited park and recreation agencies are held accountable to. In addition to becoming part of the broader CAPRA community of professionals, CAPRA volunteers gain advanced knowledge of the CAPRA process and standards that they can bring back to their own agencies. Participation also enhances their team-work skills as they work collectively with other volunteers to conduct a CAPRA review.
