Description:
The Hall of Fame Committee helps choose new inductees into the Robert W. Crawford Recreation and Park Hall of Fame. The past inductees recognized in the Hall of Fame serve as examples for future leaders in continuing the recreation and park movement into the 21st century. The committee members review 5 – 10 applications, help conduct research and participate committee conference calls. Potential for in-person meeting at NRPA annual conference. *Expenses to the conference are not provided by NRPA.
Experience Required: Must be a member of the park and recreation profession (retired or still active) and should have sufficient knowledge of the history of the field to enable them to make informed judgments about the contributions of nominees vis-á-vis those of existing Hall of Fame inductees. Members must also be willing to undertake research to evaluate a candidate’s qualifications beyond the nominating materials initially submitted by the nominator(s).
