Sprints, NRPA’s new microlearning opportunity, aims to reach every level of park and recreation professional by offering a no-cost, pre-produced video that runs anywhere from 5-20 minutes and is packed with information about various topics from the park and rec field. This format moves away from the traditional webinar and invites a new group of viewers into the world of NRPA Education. A new Sprint is released once every two weeks and can be accessed by members and non-members alike; anytime, anywhere. We are looking for volunteers to suggest ideas for video topics as well as aid in the production of these videos by writing a script, filming video clips, giving a presentation, etc. Some topics we have seen interest in: Health and Wellness, Social Equity, Conservation, Dog Parks, Programming, Risk Management, Leadership, Human Resources, Fundamental Business Skills, and Customer Service.
Qualifications Needed:
We encourage all who are interested to submit an idea for a Sprint topic if they have one. For work on producing and creating the Sprints themselves, we especially would like to hear from the following individuals, but we are open to others who want to participate:
- Subject matter experts of the topics listed in the description
- Current park and recreation professionals
- Students in the field of park and recreation
