Welcoming Communities Project

NRPA, in collaboration with the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion, is looking for 6-10 park and recreation professionals interested in serving on a committee to identify training topics to help professionals create more welcoming environments for individuals with serious mental illnesses. Ideally, volunteers will be interested in inclusion, with a special focus on serious mental illness. Volunteers need to be able to participate in four meetings (likely quarterly) and respond to 2-4 survey requests through September of 2019. As a committee volunteer, you will work closely with NRPA and the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion to share important feedback that will help shape the resources that will be published as a result of this project.
