National Certification Board - Student Representative

The National Certification Board acts as the oversight body for the administration and supervision of all national certification programs and is dedicated to enhancing and promoting the profession of parks, recreation and leisure services by providing premier certifications in the field. The NCB is made up of representatives from many aspects of the field of recreation and parks.  Before proceeding with this application, please review the minimum requirements listed below to ensure you are eligible to apply: 

• Student representatives must be currently enrolled as a university/college student in a program for parks, recreation, tourism or related profession
• Student representatives should be knowledgeable about certification processes.
• Student representatives must be available for at least a one year term that includes one in-person meeting per year at the NRPA Annual Conference, and approximately three teleconference meetings throughout the year.
• NCB members are encouraged to attend the in-person meeting at conference; however a teleconference option is available. 

Each application is evaluated based on a pre-determined set of criteria, and evaluated using a point scale.
